Join us on Friday, February 14th at 1:30 p.m. for a FREE presentation on Writing the Short Story with acclaimed author Jerry Levy!
This presentation will be an introductory to his short story writing course and will explore the fundamentals of short story writing, including:
character, plot, and tension, dialogue and setting , narrative structure and more.
Through this presentation you’ll gain valuable insights into the art of storytelling and explore if short story writing is something that you would like to pursue.

7 Keys to Navigating a Life Changing Diagnosis- Friday, March 14th at 1:30 pm
The 40-minute presentation is based on the book, “Hope For The Best Plan For The Rest” by palliative care physician Dr. Sammy Winemaker and prominent researcher Dr. Hsien Seow. It will be followed by a 20-minute question and answer session. Like the book, the presentation describes the seven keys for navigating a life-changing diagnosis. These keys unlock the secrets that can help patients and their supporters manage their illness journey. The book and presentation invite audiences to become active, informed patients who advocate for themselves. The work necessary to advocate for ones’ self or loved ones isn’t easy. However, as the book recommends you must persist, because it’s more than important: it’s your life.
